We are working for an exciting and funded startup working hand in hand with
Con Edison of NY (public utility for NYC) on smart grid and electric
vehicle charging infrastructure initiatives. The company has a small
team of developers in downtown Brooklyn and is looking to expand.
We are looking for an experienced Java or .NET developer with an
enterprise background who has successfully deployed mission critical
applications (ERP, CRM, financial services, health care, etc) at big
companies.
Building a Smart Grid has gained a lot of media attention this past
year. A big part of the challenge is upgrading IT infrastructure and
software tools used by utility operators. This small company is busily
building a set of software products that will meet future demands from
electric vehicles, distributed energy storage, and energy efficiency.
This is an onsite and full-time salary position in downtown Brooklyn.
NO TELECOMMUTERS.
Technical Requirements:
- 5+ years of enterprise Java or .NET development with numerous deployments
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server databases
- Strong working knowledge of BEA WebLogic, WebSphere, or TIBCO
- Familiarity with Ruby programming language a strong plus
- B.S. Computer Science, EE, or equivalent
